FAMILY LIFE CENTER
Overview
Dr. Tellis J. Chapman, pastor of the Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, had a vision to reach out and serve the community, not only with spiritual enlightenment, but also with community involvement and activities. His vision became a reality in 2016, with the opening of a renovated facility.
The newly renovated Jackie Robinson Sports Complex is approximately 5,395 square feet and includes state-of-the-art simulators for baseball, softball and golf, a half-size basketball court, a fitness area with weights, and an arcade. In addition to the Sports Complex, the life center houses classrooms, offices and a banquet hall. The complex includes state-of-the-art technology for learning, teaching, and meetings. In partnership with Ford Motor Company, Major League Baseball. UAW Ford and Galilee Missionary Baptist Church was instrumental in executing the vision. successfully.
This center was renovated for two main purposes. First, to serve the growing ministries of Galilee’s youth, and the growing needs of the church. Second, as a ministry to our community.
The Family Life Center is equipped with a kitchen, a banquet hall, 10 classrooms and a host of meeting rooms. It is fully accessible with an outside ramp and easily accessible bathrooms, all on one level.
This great space is waiting to host your next event. Members, and non-members alike, are invited to reserve the Family Life Center for events, meetings, training sessions, luncheons, and more. The building is handicap accessible and has ample parking.
